The Boeing AH-64 Apache

  The Boeing AH-64 Apache is a very fast and agile helicopter. It's main and tail rotors are both four bladed. It has a fixed taildragger landing gear to help land it. Twin General Electric T700-GE-Turbo shaft engines keep it flying for awhile. A crew of a pilot and a co-pilot/gunner (CPG) operate the Apache.
  The main armaments  are the MDD M230 30 millimeter "chain gun" which is operated with a very easy design of a biycycle loop style chain around the fireing mechanism. The primary AGM-114 Hellfire antitank missiles which can shoot up to 5 miles away. The Apache can carry up to 16 Hellfire missiles at time.Then is the "Hydra 70" unguided rocket pod, these Hydra 70's can be fitted with a variety of missiles includeing Smoke, Illumination, Anti personnel, Armor Piercing and more.
  The Apache can reach up to 185 mph. It's range is about 300 miles. It can reach an altitude of 21,000 feet with a verticle climb of 450 mpm.
  The main rotor is 48 feet wide and the tail rotor is nine feet two inches. The fuseloge is about 49 feet 2 inches long. It's footprint is 58 feet 3 inches. It is 15 feet 4 inches tall. When its empty it weighs 11,385 pounds, fully loaded it weighs 21,000 pounds.
  The Apache can fly in a variety of weather conditions in day and night. It uses three target sensors to help. The DAY TV views images in day and lowlight situations and turns them black in white increaseing the pilots/CPG to beable to see better.TADS FLIR Views thermal images, real world and magnified, during day, night and adverse weather conditions. DVO Views real world, full color, and magnified images during daylight and dusk conditions.
